Resetting Your Home’s Frequency for 2026

There is a specific kind of magic in the days between December 25th and January 1st. Ancient traditions often referred to this as a “time outside of time” - a liminal gap where the portal to the previous year is closing, but the new one hasn’t quite locked into place.
If you feel a bit floaty, ungrounded, or even slightly anxious right now, you aren’t alone. Your home is likely holding the energetic static of the entire past year—the holiday rush, the emotional highs and lows, and the physical clutter of transition.
Before we set our 2026 intentions or pull our cards for the year ahead, we have to clear the landing pad.

The Psychology of the Room that Feels “Off”
For our friends in Real Estate, you know this feeling well. You walk into a stunning listing, but something feels really heavy. You can’t put your finger on it, but you want to leave the room quickly.
That heaviness is often just stagnant energy—emotional residue from the people who lived there or the stress of a transition. Whether you are trying to sell a house or just trying to live happily in one, energy hygiene is just as important as physical staging!
A Simple Way to Cleanse the Space
You don’t need elaborate tools to reset your space today. Here is a three-step process to remove the stagnant energy in your home before the New Year arrives:
1. The Physical Break: Open at least one window in every room for 10 minutes—even if it’s freezing. Movement is the enemy of stagnation. As the air circulates, imagine the old stories of 2025 leaving through the window.
2. The Sound Sweep: Stagnant energy loves corners. Walk through your home with a bell, a singing bowl, or even just by clapping your hands loudly in the corners of each room. Sound waves physically break up clumped energy.
3. The Threshold Seal: Your front door is the mouth of your home. Wipe down your front door (both sides) with a mixture of water and a pinch of salt. As you do, set a mental boundary: “Only that which serves my highest good may enter here in 2026.”
Setting the Intention
Once the space feels lighter, take a moment to sit in the center of your home.
Ask yourself: What is the one word I want this house to feel like in 2026? (e.g., Peace, Abundance, Clarity, Movement).
The Action: Write that word on a small piece of paper and tuck it under your welcome mat or inside a drawer in your entryway.
What’s Coming Next
Over the coming months we are trying something new and will be here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (this one was added late for the New Year!) to help you navigate the intersection of spiritual practice, professional intuition, and the energy of the spaces we inhabit.
See you Tuesday!
